She was a long time member of Galilee Baptist Church and was currently a member of Tarklin Valley Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milford Heard; granddaughter, Connie Belinda Burns; parents, Horace and Tennie Ivey; brothers, Charlie, Albert, and Joe; and sisters, Helen and Dorothy. Survivors include: daughter and only child with whom she made her home, Judy Belinda Burns and husband Walter (Bud); grandchild and namesake, Cynthia Louise Sexton and husband Lester; great-granddaughter, Ashley Brooke Adams; great-grandson, Ryan Dean Adams; sister and last surviving sibling, Jessie Lasley; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Richard Mays and staff, Quality Home Health, especially Candice and Teresa, and Avalon Hospice, especially Kelly and Cathy. A memorial service will be held 12 PM Saturday in Atchley’s Seymour Chapel with Rev. Mark Martin and Rev. Dwight Singleton officiating.
