Wayne H. “Daddy Wayne” Ogle Sr., 82, of Colonial Heights, Virginia formerly of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at McGuire V.A. Medical Center. He was the son of the late Davis H. and Mary Elizabeth Duncan Ogle, the widower of Thelma Ann Williams Ogle, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Ogle Muse, sons-in-law, Paul Muse and John W. Modlin, and a sister, Clara Mae Dunn. Mr. Ogle was a retiree from both the United States Air Force and Civil Service at Fort Lee, Virginia, and a member of the Petersburg, Virginia Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his children, Tami Ogle Modlin, Jacqueline Ogle Evans and husband, Russell, Wayne H. Ogle, II, and Julia Elizabeth Miller and husband, Patrick; five granddaughters, Heather Ann Muse, Monica Lynne & MacKenzie Nicole Evans, Vivienne Alexandra & Celia “Memphis” Miller; a sister, Dorothy Pryor; numerous nieces and nephews; and a longtime friend, Nadine Cruze all of Knoxville. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, and following the graveside service at the home of his daughter, Jackie Evans. Flowers are welcome.
