GILMORE-Luanna Gilmore, was born on October 15, 1946 to Albert Edward Chance Jr. and Mary Olivia McMahan in Vallejo California. She passed away on September 6, 2009 in Covina, CA. She graduated from Armijo High School in 1964. After high school she created her own cleaning business and clever named it The Miracle Worker. During this time she still managed to raise her four children. Luana married Robert Gilmore in 1975 and together they r aised their combined 8 children. Luana's family always came first, they were her greatest passion and joy. She loved spending time in the garden with her beautiful flowers, grandchildren and friends. After all of her children grew and her husband retired Luana began a part time job as garden associate at the Home Depot in Covina. Luana's hard work ethic and knowledge quickly gained her the respect of her superiors and she was eventually offered the store manager position at the Covina Home Depot, a long tim e goal of hers. Her coworkers became her second family. Luana is survived by her beloved husband Bob, her children Jim, Steve, Stacey, Larry, Jennifer, Terry and their spouses, 19 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, three nieces, one nephew, brothers Tom and twin brother Larry. Services are to be held at Oakdale Memorial Park in Glendora, Ca on Saturday September 12 at 3:00 PM. Luana was a supporter of hospice care and in lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to your local hospice.
