Celya Mae Stinnett, 79, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at a local hospital.
She was a member of Spring Place Church of God of Prophecy.
She was a former employee of American Uniform and was employed with the Church of God Publishing House, where she retired after many years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack Stinnett and Ota Williams Stinnett; five brothers: Fred Stinnett of Greenbrier, Frank Stinnett, Joe Stinnett and Roy Stinnett, all of Cleveland, and Hobert Stinnett of Chattanooga; and two sisters: Eula Stinnett of Whitfield County, Ga., and Myrtle McCamish of Cleveland.
Survivors include two sisters: Bonnie Sherlin and Stella Gladson, both of Cleveland; a special cousin, Mildred Williams; a special friend, Gladys Gibson; eight nieces and nephews; 23 great-nieces and nephews; 20 great-great-nieces and nephews; and several cousins.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, at Spring Place Church of God of Prophecy with the Revs. Randall Headrick and William Coile officiating.
Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with the release of a flock of white doves concluding the service.
Joe Lewis, Ernest Lewis, Eddie Stinnett, Robert Mitchell and Willis Holt will serve as pallbearers.
Her family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
