Allie Lee Ona Bigham Stinnett, 88, a lifelong resident of Bradley County, died Sunday morning, Aug. 2, 1998, in a Chattanooga hospital. She had been employed by several hosiery mills in Cleveland and was retired from Delta Manufacturing Co. in Conasauga, Ga. She was of the Baptist faith. She was the widow of Joe Stinnett and was a daughter of the late Frank and Amanda Evans Bigham. She was preceded in death by one son; George Stinnett; one son-in-law: Larry Bacon; one great-great-granddaughter: Lana Leona Lewis; four sisters: Thelma Bigham, Nola Cavett, Susie Dunn and Lyda Dunn; and three brothers: Bill Bigham, Jim Bigham and Richard Bigham.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law: Betty Jo and Ernest Lewis, Emma Sue Bacon, and Bonnie Ruth and Carl Lewis; one daughter-in-law: Lobetha Stinnett; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Edna Geren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Revs. Randall Headrick and R.L. Shultz officiating. Interment will be in Macedonia Church Cemetery with grandsons, Leonard Stinnett, Herman Stinnett, Marty Lewis, Ernie Lewis, Joe Lewis, Dale Bacon, Joe Bacon, Franklin Bacon, Steven Lewis and Mark Lewis serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 this evening and 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
