Violet Narcissus (Vida) Reagan, age 92 of Pittman Center, stepped into Heaven Thursday, March 27, 2008. She was born May 28, 1915 to parents, C.C. (Lum) Reagan and Mary E. Henry. She was a loving sister, aunt, great aunt and great, great aunt. Words cannot express the special influence she had on her family, church family and her community. She was a charter member of Burnett Memorial Methodist Church where she filled the position of charge wide Recording Secretary for 70 years. She also served many years as Sunday School Teacher for both Burnett Memorial and Webb’s Creek United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, C.C. and Mary Reagan and brothers, Eugene, Max, Frank and Paul Reagan.
She is survived by her sister, Grace Hardin, nieces and nephews, Maxine and Wes Johnson; Carolyn and Craig Polakowski; Rex and Margy Reagan; Josie Haig; John and Cho Hardin; Bob and Debby Reagan; Rhonda and Odis Chambers; Molly and Arlie Whaley, Jr.; Tony and Karen Reagan; Lisa and Mike Quilliams; Mark and Glenda Reagan; Marty and Holly Reagan; Melissa Reagan and Libby Myers.
Vida had 28 great nieces and nephews including her singing buddy Caleb and 24 great, great nieces and nephews, one being the youngest (“Her Baby Boy”) Reagan Morrison.
The family would especially like to thank Mr. Jerry Huskey for his many years of friendship, love and dedication.
Receiving friends will take place at Burnett Memorial United Methodist Church 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2008 with the funeral service there also on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Alta Raper and Rev. John Wells officiating. Interment will follow at Shultz Cemetery.
Rawlings Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements with all flower deliveries being made to the funeral home.
