Died: April 26, 2012
James Ivan Holt, 88, of Parrottsville, passed away Thursday at Signature HealthCARE Center of Greeneville.
He was a farmer.
Mr. Holt was a member of Luther Memorial Church
He loved to fish and hunt and also loved to talk to anyone he met.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years: Juanita Holt; his children: Jimmy Holt and friend, Katie Hutchins, of Morristown, Dave Holt of the home, Peggy Davis, Betty Jo Rader and husband, Gary, and Rickey Holt, all of Greeneville, Ronald Holt and wife, Debbie, of Newport, and Sandra Harris and Randy Holt, both of Parrottsville; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and his special friends: David Jarnagin and Lyle Foreman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son: Bill Holt; one grandson: Clinton Holt; two brothers: Alvin and Clayton Holt; a sister: Olta Holt; and a son-in-law: Billy Lynn Davis.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Jack Wilder will officiate.
Family and friends will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home to go in procession to GreeneLawn Memory Gardens for a 2 p.m. committal service.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Davis, Stacy Davis, Mickey Harris, Peyton Davis, Lyle Foreman, Gary Radar, and Kevin Radar.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Signature HealthCARE Center of Greeneville and his family members.
