(October 4, 1965 - February 11, 2010) Michael Houston Lewis, age 44, of Knoxville, TN, previously of Maryville, TN, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2010. He lived a simple, but wonderful life and put the needs of others before his own. To know him was to love him. He was the owner of BMW Vending and was employed by United Parcel Service and loved his job and coworkers so very much. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, father and mother, Houston and Brenda Lewis of Knoxville; brother, Jeff (Lindsay) Lewis of Maryville, TN; sister, Sherry (Kenny) Blake of Knoxville, TN; grandmother, Bonnie Ramsey of Hartford, TN; uncle, Joe Ramsey, Hartford, TN; and beloved dog Koko. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ben Ramsey, of Hartford, TN; John Tupper Lewis; and grandmother, Elizabeth Jane Lewis both of Benton, TN. Mike loved all animals and the family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to Young Williams Animal Shelter, 3201 Division Street, Knoxville, TN 37919-3207. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Saturday, February 13, 2010 with funeral services to follow at 7:00 pm in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ransom Hall officiating.
