MARGARET "MEME" FAYE JULIAN HARDIN STONE, age 89, of South Knoxville passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011 at NHC Ft. Sanders. She was the oldest member of Seven Islands Church. Preceded in death by husband, Roy Stone; brother, Russell Julian; twin sister, Nell Galyon; and grandson , Bart Gibson.
Survivors include daughters, Brenda Gibson and husband Bill, Marlene Steele and husband Bill, Connie Hardin Holbert; grandchildren, Conley (Buster) Gibson, Brad Gibson and wife Tammy, Tony King and wife Christy, Jason King and wife Debbie, Chad Steele, Travis Holbert and wife Lacretia, Rusty Holbert, Daniel Holbert; great-grandchildren, Jennifer Patterson and husband Shane, Nicholas Gibson, Kaitlyn, Codey, Cheyenne, Savannah and Buzz King, Justin Kerr. Thanks to special friends, Bill and Linda King, Lois Pearson, Linda Caldwell, Carol Fox, Alice and Rinford Riffe, Martha McClurg, Tammy Widener, Brock Douglas; special niece and nephews, Lisa Gossett, Wayne, Mickey and Larry Galyon. Sincere thanks to NHC Ft. Sanders First Floor for all the care and kindness they showed to Meme and her family.
Family and friends will meet on Tuesday, June 14 at Seven Islands Cemetery for 11 A.M. graveside service with Rev. Bill McCarter officiating. Grandsons will be pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Seven Islands Cemetery Association, 7604 Seven Islands Road, Knoxville, TN 37920.
