Ernest McCarter, age 66, a resident of Oliver Springs went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016.
Ernest was a man who loved God and enjoyed going to church. He was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church. Ernest loved his family and always worked hard to make sure they were taken care of. He was born on March 3, 1950 in Oliver Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Mildred Mc-Carter and brother, Dennis McCarter.
Ernest is survived by his wife of 49 years, Angelina McCarter; daughters, Rhonda Irwin and husband, Mark, of Wartburg, Marie Lloyd and husband, Sam, and Denise Raines, of Oliver Springs; grandchildren, Anthony Irwin and wife, Jenny, and Jennifer Irwin Armes, all of Wartburg, Joshua Lloyd, Myra Phillips and husband, Michael, Cody Raines and wife, Tabitha, Heather Raines and fiancé, Anthony Cambron, Michael Raines and girlfriend, Emma Davis, Jacob Kennedy, Carl Kennedy and Cara Kennedy and fiancé, Bradon Rice, all of Oliver Springs; great-grand children, Leland and Creeden Phillips, Skyla, Easton and Weston Jones and Bayleigh (Bug) Kennedy; sisters, Rozella McCarter, Sue Sigler and Daranda Andrews and a brother, Steve McCarter.
The family will receive friends, Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, between 6 and 8 p.m. at Premier Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Meadowview Baptist Church in Wartburg, Tenn. with the Rev. Ralph Nance and the Rev. Tommy McCool officiating.
