Dolores Jane Goodin, age 91, of Seymour, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017. "Doe", as she was known to many, had a zest for life, loved her children and grandchildren and had a quick wit and sense of humor. She enjoyed dancing, karaoke and had traveled to all fifty states. She was an active member of Seymour Community Church where she sang in the choir, worked with Awanas, the nursery, neighbor Bible time, and Bible school where she saw many of her grandchildren come to know the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalphus Hearl Goodin, son, Dwight H. Goodin, parents, John J. and Phoebe (Green) Howard, sisters, Pauline Fredrick Parrott Huff, and Iris Faye Mullins; brother, Palestine Green Howard.
Survivors include her Sons: Langley Goodin and wife Annie (Whaley) , Timothy Lynn Goodin and wife Barb, Robert Christopher Goodin and wife Lori Bellar; Daughter: Kathy Blankenship and husband Bobby Joe; Grandchildren: Robert Lynn Blankenship, Heather Renee Distelberg, Clinton Langley Goodin, Timothy Chaz Goodin, Coleton Cruze Goodin, Cassidi Makayla Goodin, and Savanna Jayne Goodin.; Great-grandchildren: Kathryn Blankenship, Alyssa Grace Blankenship, Brianna Lynn Blankenship, Seth Robert Blankenship, Kalea Goodin, Kaiah Goodin, Ansley Distelberg, Benjamin Goodin and McKinley Goodin; Sister: Kathleen Burke White; Special friends, Emily Seymore and Teresa Huskey.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to: Seymour Community Church 994 S. Old Sevierville Pike, Seymour, TN 37865.
The family will receive friends 12 noon – 3 PM Sunday, July 9th with funeral service to follow at 3 PM in Atchley's Seymour Chapel, 122 Peacock Court, Seymour TN.
