WHALEY, THOMAS L. - age 52 of Talbott, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2004 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hansel and Nadine Whaley and sister, Mary Elizabeth. He was in the US Army and served during the Vietnam Era. He also served in the Virginia and Tennessee Army National Guard. He is survived by sons, Tony and Tim daughters, Tonya Overholt and Teena Whaley brothers, Monroe Whaley of Knoxville and Eugene Whaley of Morristown sisters, Shirley Hannah of California, Ruth Hensley of Strawberry Plains, Betty Whaley of North Carolina and Lynda Weetman of Virginia grandchildren, Courtney, Amber and Clayton fiancé, Carol Scheible and daughter, Misti aunts, Ruby Jean Harb of Morristown and Francis West of Dandridge uncles, Bernard and Bethel Whaley of Morristown and Robert Blevins of Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 10, 2004 at 8 p.m. at Westside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Henegar officiating. Military graveside services will be Sunday at 4 p.m. in Tampico Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday 6 p.m., until time of services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Westside Chapel Funeral Home of Morristown in charge of arrangements.
