He graduated from Mesquite High School in 1964, was honorably discharged from the US Army, was a Master mason in the Keystone Lodge of Dallas, was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite, a standing board member of the Fin and Feather Hunting and Fishing Club of Wills Point, a life member of the National Rifle Association and a General Contractor having owned Diamond L.
