He was a member of the VFW Post in Manatee County from 1950-1960; a member of the Democratic Club; a member of the Czechoslovakian Club; and a member of the VFW Post in Mansfield, Ohio. Mr. Lyle was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was Protestant. Survivors include his daughter, Rebecca J. Rozewski, Bend, Ore.; son, Alan McClain Lyle, Bend; sister, Evelyn Robertson, Dalton, Ga.; brothers, Braudis Lyle, Wildwood, and Benjamin Lyle, Belleview; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
