PARTON, DONNIE RAY, SR. - age 58 of Knoxville, passed away at his home, Wednesday, December 22, 2004. He was a member of Grove heights Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his wife Janice Parton and parents Beecher and Stella Parton. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Donnie Ray , Jr. and Wendy Parton daughters and sons-in-law Susie and John Bowling and Angela and Bobby Brimm grandchildren Shandi, Suzanne, Brianna, Shannon, Donnie III, Joshua, Timothy Jr., Marshall, and Joe brothers and sisters-law Junior and Charlene, Dennis and Sandy, Jerry and April, Tommy and Brenda, Gary and Pam, Michael and Crystal Parton and brother Joe Simpson sisters Robin Pettis, Debbie Parton and sister and brother-in-law Pam and Tommy Bray several nieces and nephews girl friend Doris Ryan and her sisters best friends Sam and Pastors and friends Clyde and his wife Jean Haynes, Dick and his wife Sandy Chandler. Donnie will be dearly missed and always loved. Roses are red, violets are blue, Daddy I will truly always love you. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 26, 2004 at 4 pm in the Chapel of Weaver Funeral Home with Pastor Clyde Haynes and Pastor Dick Chandler officiating. The family will receive friends following the service to 7 pm. Family and friends will meet at Weaver Funeral Home Monday at 10:15 am to proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for an 11 am interment.
