Alcie Lee Bohannon, 78, of Crossville, passed away Sept. 17, 2004. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 19 from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home of Cookeville, with burial in Browns Mill Cemetery. Bro. Gary Howard officiated.
Mrs. Bohannon was born July 9, 1926 in Putnam County, the daughter of Bill and Nancy Ann (Sparks) Whiteaker.
She was a housewife and a member of Old Fashion Independent Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Richard Pugh and Judy and Bobby Cumby, all of Crossville; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Carol Bohannon, Donnie and Katherine Bohannon and Bobby Bohannon, all of Crossville; sister, Alta Brewer of Algood; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John William Bohannon; brothers, Arvil, Willie, Gar and Jeff Whiteaker; and sisters, Avo Bryant, Adaer Johnson, Abbie Conley and Anna Pearl Whiteaker.
Family and friends served as pallbearers.
Whitson Funeral Home of Cookeville was in charge of the arrangements.
