She was a lifelong member of Six Mile Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Earvel Thompson . Survivors: daughter, Dean Cooper of Maryville sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Alda Thompson of Knoxville, Gene and Louise Thompson of Maryville grandchildren, Jaris, Javonna, Shelia, Larkin, Sherri, Laura, Randy, Tisha, and Eric 12 great-grandchildren three great-great grandchildren half sisters, Lela Hawn and Blanche Payne, both of Maryville, and step brother, Addie Gibson of Maryville. Funeral service 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2002, Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Bill White officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Carpenter's Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery for the interment. The family will gather at the home of Dean Cooper, 3568 Pineview Road, Maryville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests, memorial donations be made to Six Mile Baptist Church, 4337 Montvale Road, Maryville TN 37803.
