He was owner and operator of Dude 's Grocery in the Six Mile Community for 28 years and preceded in death by parents, Gaith and Margaret Cooper , son, Gary Cooper , brothers, Oscar K. Cooper , Gordon D. Cooper , Edward L. Cooper and Gaith Cooper Jr. and sister Hilda Faye Cooper . Survivors include wife, Lexie Holder Cooper grand daughter, Cara Cooper of Maryville great grandson, Lucas Cooper Roberts brother, C.S. Cooper of Louisiana, Harold "Bud" Cooper and Stanley "Dee" Cooper both of Maryville special friends, Bill Cable and Allen Cooper both of Maryville several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2003 at Peck's Memorial Cemetery for graveside service and interment, Rev. Carl White officiating.
