Lucille Ballenger Householder, 95, passed away April 14, 2017 in Opelika, Alabama at Arbor Springs Health and Rehab Center. She was born August 28, 1921 in Jefferson County, Tennessee. She was a long time member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church in South Knoxville, Tennessee. She moved to Auburn to be near her son in 2003. Her husband, Andrew Robert Householder, preceded her in death. Survivors include her son, Jerry (Patti) Householder of Auburn, Alabama. Grandchildren, Elizabeth (Michael) Swainston of Richmond, Virginia, Jenny (Nick) Higginbotham of Montgomery, Alabama, Andy Householder of Seminole, Alabama and Ashley (Bert) Sammons of Little Elm, Texas. 10 great-grandchildren, Jared, Ethan, Emma and Logan Swainston, Ellie, Sophia and Liam Sammons, Brylee and Cade Householder, and Anna Higginbotham. Sisters: Frances Anderson, Pat Burkhart and Mary Burkhart all of Knoxville. Sister in law, Johnnie (Robert) Hood of Seymour. Pall Bearers: Lynn Hood, Fred Williams, Carl Galyon, Gordon King, Harold "Bubba" Beal, and Richard Ballenger. Visitation will be Atchley Funeral Home in Seymour, Tuesday April 18 from 10-11 am with funeral at 11 am. Funeral service and eulogy conducted by Carl Galyon. Internment at Knob Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a donation, in her name, to Hillcrest United Methodist Church, 1615 Price Ave, Knoxville, TN 37920.
