Boyd Knight, 97, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday morning, May 21, 2008 in a local hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. Boyd was the son of the late John and Laura Knight and was also preceded in death by his wife Loma Shelton Knight; a grandson, Jeff Ledford; six sisters and four brothers. Survivors include daughters, Gail Elizabeth Sivells and her husband, John, Ruth Ann Buckner and her husband, Garrie all of Cleveland; son, Randall Knight and his wife Cathy of Chatsworth, Georgia; one brother, Ed Knight of Cleveland. He was papaw to eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend James Vaughn officiating. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2008 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
