James Edward Reagan, 85, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016.
He was born in Haywood County, North Carolina. James pastored Lincolnton Foursquare Church for 21 years. He loved serving the church and his church family. He was dedicated to his call. He was a loving pastor, who loved people. Prior to pastoring he traveled and sang with the Singing Anchors. He loved family gatherings and spending time with his family. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved to laugh and he always saw the good in people.
James is survived by is his wife Frances Reagan; children Debra Robinson and husband Robbie, Darlene Bingham and fiancé Clyde Lester; son Donald Reagan and wife Sonia; daughter-in-law Cindy Reagan; daughters Rhonda Painter and Angela Payseur; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters Shirley Sisk and husband George and Lucille Ridpath and husband Charles.
Mr. Reagan was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Ethel Carver Reagan; brothers Charles Reagan and Homer Reagan; son Dennie Reagan and son in law Jimmy Painter.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2016, at Dallas Funeral Home, 212 West Trade Street, Dallas, North Carolina. A Celebration of James' Life will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2016, in the chapel of Dallas Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jack Fox officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Gardens.
