She was a member of Paw Paw Hollow Baptist Church and Son Light Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands Steve Russell and Rhea Fleenor , parents Fred and Nora Slaton, brothers Fred Slaton Jr. and Morgan Slaton. She is survived by her children, daughter, Jewell Tindell and son, Fred Russell ; grandchildren, Chad Tindell and Eric Russell ; special nephew who was a part of the family, Raymond Slaton and wife Sharon and his children Amber and Jeremy Slaton; sisters Florence Russell , Pearl Glenn and Nancy Valentine; brother Bobby Slaton. Special thanks to her niece, Jan Hickman, and her wonderful neighbors, Robert and Bonnie Russell , Mary Russell and David and Shannon McCroskey, Mary Beth Williams, for always being willing to lend a helping hand. The family will receive friends Wednesday December 26, 2007 from 6 to 8 pm at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home with the service to follow, with Rev. Ronnie White officiating.
