Szubka (nee Perz), 86, formerly of South Chicago, will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road (3 blocks south of Roosevelt Road), Lombard, and proceed to St. Pius X Catholic Church, where a Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m.Interment will be private at Holy Cross Cemetery. She was a longtime member of St. Bronislava Church, as well as a member of the Faith Sharing Group and the VIP Senior Womens Group at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Lucille was the beloved wife of the late Roman "Ray"; loving mother of David ( Diane ) Szubka and George (Pat) Szubka ; devoted grandmother of Laura, Daniel, Thomas (Beth) and Mathew Szubka ; dearest sister of the late Marge (the late John) Olejniczak, the late Frank (the late Helen) Perz and the late H. John (the late Evelyn) Perz; and fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
