  [S4] Knoxville News-Sentinel (Tennessee), 8 Feb 1999. JONES, DESSIE REA (HAMMER) - age 83, of Rutledge, passed away February 6, 1999, at 10 p.m., at the home. She was a member of Head of Richland Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Horace and Gertie Hammer; husband, Richard Jones ; and son, Jimmy. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Horace and Mary Jones of Rutledge; daughters and sons-in-law, Velva and Glenn Turner of White Pine, Stella and Buddy Romine of Rutledge; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great, great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday night, February 8, 1999, from 6-9 p.m., at the Head of Richland Baptist Church, located three miles north of Rutledge off Hwy. 11 W. on right. Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m., at the church with Rev. Tom Owen and Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Interment in the Blue Springs Cemetery following the service.
