  [S142] Newspaper Article, Batesville Guard (AR), Feb 1998. Billy Joe Pool, 68, of Batesville died Thursday, Feb. 26, 1998, in a local hospital. Born Feb. 28, 1929, in Moorefield, he was the son of Mumford Joe Pool and Ruthel Mae Fry Pool. He was a retired truck driver, a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include three sons, Joe D. Pool of Bethesda, Glen E. Pool of Batesville and Brian J. Pool of Moorefield; a daughter, Patti M. Snowden of Moorefield; a brother, Don Pool of Moorefield; two sisters, Katherine Johnson and Wanda James, both of Batesville; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. The graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lee's Chapel Cemetery on Highway 25 with the Rev. Charles Crowson officiating. Arrangements are by Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Pool, Don Johnson, Jerry James, Ricky Pool, Randy Pool and Sean James. There will be no visitation.
