Ava L. Crossno , 81, of Walnut Ridge passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 14, 1934, to Joseph M. and Mae Moore Hart. She worked at Washburn's and G.C. Electronics in Rockford, Ill., and retired from Douglas Quikut in 2000.
In 2000, she began working at Dusty Shelf in Portia making quilts. She was married to Eugene Crossno , was a member of the church of Christ, and also attended First Free Will Baptist Church.
Her parents; husband, Eugene; son, Joey Crossno ; sister, Ruth Butler; and brother, Joe Darrell Hart, all arrived in heaven before her.
She leaves behind her daughter, Karen Williams and husband Jack (Boyce) of Hoxie; grandson, Dr. Joey L. Williams of Tuscon, Ariz.; brothers, J.C. Hart and Lloyd Hart of Jonesboro, Raymond Hart (Audrey) of Rockford, Sam Hart (Joanne) of Walnut Ridge and Darann of Northwest Arkansas; sisters, Pat Crossno ( Brooks ) of Walnut Ridge and Laura Ann Pierce of Hoxie; granddaughter, Linda Navarro of Leachville; other grandchildren, Dakota Crossno , Cloey and Logan Hancock, Kylee and Vance Navarro; special nephews, Randy Crossno and Danny Ray Butler; and many precious nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge. A celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Timothy Campbell and Dakota Crossno officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park.
