He was born Oct. 25, 1956 in Newport, the son of Joe D., Sr. and Lamelda (Brand) Fortenberry. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe D. Fortenberry , Sr.; and one brother, Joe D. Fortenberry , Jr. Mr. Fortenberry is survived by his wife, Emmalee Fortenberry ; his mother, Lamelda Fortenberry of Tuckerman; two step-daughters, Angela Lindley of Hardy and Roxanna Tims of Walnut Ridge; one sister, Barbara Fields of Tuckerman; four step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kyle Rhea officiating. Interment followed in Dowell's Chapel Cemetery.
