Mr. Mark Barner of Tuckerman, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the age of 57. He was born October 14, 1958 in Newport, the son of Charles, Jr., and Geraldine (Grigsby) Barner.
Mark was a welder, and one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, and loved the outdoors. Mark was a member of the Ground Check Hunting Club, and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mark is survived by his wife of 38 years, Charolette (Thompson) Barner of Tuckerman; two god-children, Aurora and Buddy; five brothers, Michael Barner of Tuckerman, Charles M. “Chuck” Barner of Tuckerman, Greg Barner of Tuckerman, David Barner of Jacksonville, Florida, and Jeremy Barner of Franklin, Arkansas; three sisters, Sandy Hilton and husband, Rick of Hot Springs, Anna Hisek and husband, Brian of Hot Springs, and Mendy Tubbs and fiancé, Adam Stephens of Franklin, Arkansas; 23 nieces and nephews; 28 great-nieces and nephews; his in-laws, William and Joy Roper of Swifton; special friends, James and Delores; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Sunday, 5:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Monday, at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel.
Honorary pallbearers are Ground Check Hunting Club members.
