Allen Lee Huskey , 64, a resident of Rufus, formerly of Riddle, died at his home on Saturday, July 30, 2005. He was born Sept. 23, 1940, in Nampa, Idaho, to Amis and Dorothy (Whaley) Huskey . He grew up in Idaho and then lived in Idaho, Montana and Oregon. He was self employed all of his life, working as a logger, truck driver and operating a tow truck company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He is survived by his long-time companion, Patricia Cook, Canyonville; daughters, Sandra and husband, Robert Gregg, Madras; Anna Williams and Patti Nicholas; sons and their spouses, Michael and Sue Baker, Kennewick, Wash.; Patrick and Kathy Baker, Phelan, Calif.; Donald Baker, Madras; Lance Cook and Ray and Donna Cook, Atlanta, Ga.; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, his father and step mother, Amis and Mary Huskey , The Dalles; his brother, Jerry L. Huskey , Rufus; stepsisters, Pat Birtcher and husband, Ernie, Liberty Center, Ohio; and Anita Verberg, The Dalles; numerous uncles and aunts, including a very special aunt, Velma Heavrin; many nieces and nephews and his dog, Buddy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy. At his request no public funeral services will be held. Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Gorge, 751 Myrtle Street, The Dalles, OR 97058.
