Velma V. Heavrin 1919 ~ 2013 A viewing for Velma V. Heavrin 93 of Meridian formerly of Cascade and Emmett, who died Wednesday October 2, 2013 at the home of her granddaughter in Meridian, will be held this Saturday October 5, 2013 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett. A memorial graveside will be held at 11:30 am Sunday October 13th at the Middleton Cemetery in Middleton with a potluck gathering to follow the graveside. Velma was born on Oct. 9, 1919 at Kuna, Idaho to Charles and Fannie Huskey . She was reared and educated in Cascade. Velma married Carl H. Heavrin in 1939 at Cascade. They lived in Sweet for several years. They moved to Cascade where they lived and worked. Mr. Heavrin died in 1992. Velma moved to Emmett in 1993 and in 1999 she moved to Meridian. She enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her home and family. She is survived by two daughters Carol Atkins of Arizona and JoAnn Reed of Nampa, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, two sisters, Wilma Davis of Las Vegas, NV. and Blanche Heavrin of Meridian, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers a sister and a great granddaughter.
