Gavin Christoper Huskey , 18, of Asheville, died Wed-nesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at his home.
A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of Sgt. Ronnie Freeman and Conniegh Hardin-Freeman of Ft. Stewart, Ga., and Robert Huskey , Jr., of Mooresboro.
He is survived by a sister, Cherish Huskey of Ft. Stewart, Ga.; one brother, Ryan Freeman of Ft. Stewart, Ga.; maternal grandparents, Glenn and Dee Hard-in of Ellenboro; and paternal grandparents, Bob and Eartha Mae Huskey of Forest City.
Private graveside services will be held in the family cemetery with Rev. Bill Troutman officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, at the home of Glenn and Dee Hardin at 197 Gardner Dr., Ellenboro.
The family request that memorials be made to the Irene Wortham Residential Center at 916 West Chapel Rd., Asheville, N.C., 28803.
McKinney-Landreth Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
