May 01, 1929 - April 14, 2012 Dorothy Mae Whitehead, age 82 of Happy Valley, passed away Saturday April 14, 2012 at Hillcrest West Healthcare Center. She was a member of Happy Valley Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Whitehead; parents, George and Bessie Patton; son, Kent Whitehead; brother, Paul Patton; and infant sister. Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Tom and Cathy Whitehead of Happy Valley; daughter in law, Jennifer Whitehead of Georgia; grandchildren, Christopher, Nancy, Amber, and Trenton Whitehead; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside service and interment will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Happy Valley Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial service and visitation will follow at Happy Valley Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Beecher Whitehead and Rev. Alvin Patton officiating.
