MADISON, JAMES RAYMOND "RAY" - age 79, of Kingston, formerly of Farragut, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2000, at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Madison and Julie Madison Kerr; step father, Otha M. Kerr and brother, Melvin Kerr.
Survived by wife of 53 years, Evelyn; one daughter, Barbara Borum and son-in-law Russ of Kingston; two sons, Kenneth Raymond Madison and daughter-in-law Wilma of Crownsville, Md., and Dennis James Madison and daughter-in-law Helen of Knoxville, Tenn.; sister, Lillian Gamble of Maryville and brothers, Virgil V. Kerr of Athens, Tenn., O.M. Kerr Jr. of Greenville, Tenn., Quenton A. Kerr and Rev. Carl Kerr, both of Kansas City, Mo.; nine grandchildren including a special grandchild, Josh Borum and twelve great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. with funeral to follow at 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Brown Funeral Home, Kingston. Graveside service and burial to be at 1 p.m. Friday at Magnolia Cemetery in Maryville, Rev. Bruce Yates and Rev. Jim Clayton officiating. Brown Funeral Home, Kingston, in charge of arrangements.
