She was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by husband, Roy C. Norton; daughter, Johnnie R. Jones; brothers, Archie Russell, Alan Russell, Howard Russell; sister, Betty Rhyne; grandson, Aaron Matthew Goble; son in law, R C Goble; granddaughter, Tonya Lynn Goble. Survived by daughter, Jean Goble of Alcoa; sons and daughters in law, Tommy and Linda Norton of Gatlinburg, Jerry and Brenda Norton of Maryville; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; sisters, Ola Mae and husband Charles Patton of Maryville, Edith Walker of Nashville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM Monday December 8, 2008 at Miller Funeral Home, Rev. David Hutsell and Fate Green officiating. Interment service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
