MINGE , OLIVER B. (O.B.) - age 78, died Sunday, January 12, 2003 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Member of First Baptist Church of Concord. He retired from X-10 Plant in Oak Ridge, Tenn. Member of Carpenters Local 50, master carpenter and cabinetmaker. Mr. Minge was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Preceded in death by parents, Luther B. and Bertha Robbins Minge . Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Anna Dickens Minge daughters and sons in law, Judy and Ron Copeland, Becky and Robert Kennard grandson, Jeffrey Alan Copeland brothers, Carl Minge and wife, Ruby of Dayton, Ohio, Howard Minge and wife, Helen of Knoxville, Ray Minge and wife, Jane of Rancho Cordova, Calif. sisters, Ruth Rineard and husband, Robert of Rapid City, SD, Velma Jenkins and husband, Ray of Knoxville several nieces and nephews and other relatives. Funeral service 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel with Rev. Steve Peek officiating. Family and friends will meet and leave Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel at 10 a.m. Wednesday and proceed to Edgewood Cemetery for a 10:30 a.m. interment service with full military honors presented by the Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard. The family requests memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, East Tenn. Region, 4708 Papermill Dr., Knoxville, Tenn. 37909. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.
