Edith Silvey Knoxville, TN Edith C. Silvey , age 88 , died peacefully Friday , November 18 at Little Creek Sanitarium. She was born in Knoxville on March 28, 1928. She was a member of West Hills Baptist Church and retired from the Knox County Property Assessors Office. Preceded in death by husbands, William E. Silvey and W. Edward (Ed) Cunningham; brothers, Kenneth, Ray, Bill; and sisters, Cleda, Evelyn, Ruby, Faye, and Nell; parents, William L. and Nova Ogle Cox. Survived by daughters, Connie and Donna Silvey ; brother, James Cox (BJ); and several nieces and nephews; 'god-daughter,' Judy Zachary Fenton (Mike). The family would like to thank the exceptional staff at Little Creek Sanitarium for their loving care and professionalism. Also, a special thanks to the Avalon Hospice staff. The family will receive friends Monday, November 21 from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at West Hills Baptist Church. Service to follow with Rev. Drew Prince officiating. Interment will be at Edgewood Cemetery Tuesday, November 22 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to West Hills Baptist Church, 409 N.
