COX , GLENN RAYMOND (RAY) - age 74, of Knoxville, passed away Friday, August 18, 2000 at his residence. He was retired from Rust Engineering in Oak Ridge, and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, of Knoxville. Mr. Cox was a 32nd Degree Mason, and had served as past Master of Beaver Ridge Lodge #366, F&AM, and also was past Patron of Beaver Ridge OES Chapter 320. He was a member of Bricklayers Local #3. Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his parents, W.L. and Tunnell Cox ; and sisters, Evelyn Scarborough, and Tunnell Spence. Survivors include his wife, Imogene Rayfield Cox ; a son, Steven R. Cox ; daughters and sons in law, Nancy and Steven Underwood, Brenda and Tony Owens, and Kathy and Rick Adams; grandsons, Joshua Owens and wife, Heather, and Michael Adams; granddaughters, Stephanie Underwood and Jamie Underwood, and Jennifer Owens; a great granddaughter, Alyssa Owens, all of Knoxville; brothers and sisters in law, Kenneth and Pearlie, Bill and Sue, and Jim and B.J. Cox , all of Knoxville; sisters and brothers in law, Cleda and Bob Stokes , and Edith Silvey and Ed Cunningham, of Knoxville, Ruby and Carl Minge of Dayton, Ohio, and Faye and Goody Amburn of Huntsville, Ala., and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday August 20, 2000 at the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Hayes officiating. Masonic services will be conducted preceding the services by Beaver Ridge Lodge #366 F&AM. Interment services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to meet at the Funeral Home by 10:15 a.m. Monday to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve Cox , Josh Owens, Tony Owens, Michael Adams, Rick Adams, J.C. Townsend and Steve Underwood. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Weaver Funeral Home, 5815 Western Ave. 588-3868.
