WHITEHEAD , LILY BURDELL - age 89 of Alcoa, passed away Friday morning, February 8, 2002 at Fairpark Health Care Center. She was a devoted Christian and the oldest living member of Chilhowee Primitive Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by husband, Jeff Reuben Whitehead , parents, George and Candice Orr, brothers, Dillard Orr, Henry Orr, Carl Orr, Nick Orr, sister, Mary Orr, grandchildren, Steven Cross, Susan Oldham, Terry Lynn Whitehead and great grandchild, Robert Wayne Effler. Survivors: Sons & daughters in law: Coleman and Allene Whitehead and Jack and Wilma Whitehead all of Maryville. Daughters & sons in law: Virginia Lee and Joe Rasneck and Mary Kathleen and Les Hearon all of Alcoa; 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2002 at Chilhowee Primitive Baptist Church (Red Top), Rev. Beecher Whitehead and Rev. Robert Lee Whitehead officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Whitehead will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church.
