PENDLEY , FLOYD F. - age 90 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2006 at the family home. He was a US Army Veteran serving in WWII. He was an honorary lifetime member of Blount County's Rescue Squad affectionately known as "Pops." He retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company with 39 1/2 years of service and was a member of their 25-Year Club, and also a member of Local 309 Steelworkers of America. He was preceded in death by: his son, David E. Pendley grandson, Jason E. Pendley granddaughter, Teresa Pendley brothers, BW, Charles, and Paul Stargel. Survivors include: his wife of 60 years, Mable Headrick Pendley daughter, Beverly Clark of Maryville son & daughter-in-law, Don Pendley & Katrina Springs of Maryville 5 grandchildren, Michelle Clark, Stephanie Hanover, Donnie Pendley , Derrick Pendley and Brandon Clark 4 great grandchildren, Scarlett Hanover, Tyler Clark, Haven Pendley & Zachary Pendley half brothers, Walt Pendley and William Pendley both of Georgia 3 half sisters, Christine Walker and Lillian Mercer both of Georgia, and Dorothy Pollock of Ohio. Funeral service will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2006, West Chapel, Smith Mortuary with Rev. Jim Lawhorn officiating. Interment will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000.
