D. - age 74, of Maryville, died Monday, June 30, 2003, at the family home. He was a member of New Providence Primitive Baptist Church. He was Pastor at Miller's Cove Primitive Baptist Church, Welch Cove Primitive Baptist Church in North Carolina, Laws Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, Edgewood Primitive Baptist Church, and Poplar Springs Primitive Baptist Church. He retired from Cherokee Lumber Company, after 38 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Ray and Mary Carver Blair brothers, Bill Blair , Junior Blair , and Jimmy Blair sisters, Geneva and Willie Faye Blair . He was a devoted father and husband. Survivors include wife, Juanita Murphy Blair son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Judy Blair daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Joe Bledsoe and Pat and David Duckett seven grandchildren thirteen great-grandchildren brothers, Johnny Blair and Tommy Blair sisters, Bernice Anderson, Jessie Stewart, Janette McCarter, and Nellie Swaney sisters-in-law, Bertha Blair and Peggy Blair . He will be greatly missed by a number of family and friends. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 3, 2003, at New Providence Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Ronald Blair , Elder Onley Williams, Rev. Jason Blair , and Rev. David Duckett officiating. Interment will follow in New Providence Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
