JEFFRIES , VIDA LOUISE - age 79 of Maryville died Wednesday, May 24, 2000 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Middlesettlements United Methodist Church for over 50 years. Preceded in death by husband, Milton Jeffries ; brother, Edward Nix. Survivors include, sons and daughters in law, Norman and Jay Jeffries of Maryville, Fred and Barbara Jeffries of Nolensville, Mike and Sandy Jeffries of Maryville; daughter and son in law, Kathy and John Abbott of Maryville; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother, David W. Nix, Jr. of Aiken, SC. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2000 at Middlesettlements United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles McKinney and Rev. Frank Snavely & Rev. David Lawrence officiating, interment will follow the service at the church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2000 in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 983-1000.
