KELLY, DORRIS V. "SLIM" - age 75, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, went to his Heavenly Father early Sunday morning, March 9, 2003, at his home in Mascot. He was a long time member of Green Acres Baptist Church. Mr. Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, Lucinda Hurst Kelly and James Mitchell Kelly and brother, James Mitchell Kelly , Jr. Survivors include wife, Georgia Rogers Kelly daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanie and Hal Watts, Angela and Buster Smith son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Donna Kelly of Sweetwater and special "son" Eugene Thomas Luttrell of Bonefey, Fla. granddaughters, Amanda Kelly , Michelle Kelly , Kelly Smith and Hayley Smith sister and brother-in-law, Addie Bell and Ernie Shelton, and brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Blanche Kelly all of Jefferson City, special nephew, Rod Stone and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of Mascot Masonic Lodge #738, Knoxville Scottish Rite, and Mascot Chapter #55 Order of Eastern Star Mr. Kelly was a retired electrician belonging to the Knoxville I.B.E.W. #760. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Serving as pallbearers will be Larry, David and Randy Kelly , Steve, Josh, and Justin Ingram, Rusty McCroskey and Billy Young. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mr. Kelly 's Sunday School Class. Rev. Leonard Goin and Rev. Ford Thomas will conduct the funeral service at Green Acres Baptist Church at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2003. Following the funeral, family and friends will meet at Clear Springs Baptist Church for Military Services with the Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard officiating. The family will receive friends at McCarty Mortuary on Tuesday evening, March 11, from 6 until 8 p.m. There will be a Masonic service following at 8 p.m. McCarty Mortuary, 4004 Holston Dr., in charge of arrangements.
