- In 1850 Nathaniel Westley and Hannah were listed in the Federal Census of
Sevier County, Tennessee. There were four children in their household: Sarah,
age 7; Martha, age 6; John, age 3; and Willaim Bates, age 1.
Nathaniel Westley and Hannah again appeared in the 1860 Federal Census of
Sevier County, Tennessee. They now had seven children at home: Sarah, age 17;
Martha, age 15; Seldon, age 13; William, age 11; Joseph, age 9; Mary, age 4;
and Harris, age 2. In the 1870 Federal Census, they had five children still at
home: William B., age 21; Joseph A., age 19; Mary J., age 14; Louisa R., age
9; and Nancy, age 7.
In 1880 Nathaniel Westley and Hannah were still listed in the Federal Census of
Sevier County, Tennessee. There wer only two children left in the household:
Louisa R., age 19; and Nancy A. age 17.
Nathaniel Westley Emert was buried beside his wife in the Pigeon Forge
Methodist Church Cemetery.
