Funeral services for Mildred Lee Chandler, 86, Blanchard resident, were scheduled for 1 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Church of Christ in Wynnewood, officiated by Clinton minister Pat Peters.
Mrs. Chandler died Monday, April 27, 2015, at her home in Blanchard. She was born June 4, 1928, to Bessie (Morgan) and Jeff Barker.
She spent several years in the Kingston area before moving to Wynnewood in 1970 where she made her home until late 1999.
She then spent time near family in Arapaho, before her health began deteriorating and she moved to be closer to her daughters in the Mustang area.
Mrs. Chandler had worked for many years as a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She married Garvin Chandler on Sept. 23, 1970, and they spent their lives together until his passing on Sept. 18, 1999.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Cheryl Kelley, age 11, in 1974 and Dorothy Ray; a brother, Thurman Barker; and a sister, Iva Mae Martin.
Survivors include three daughters, Wanda Ledbetter, of Mustang, Tonia Greenlees, and her husband, Bill, of Tuttle, and Linda Goodner of Duncan; four sons, Mel Stover, and his wife, Jean, of Kingston, G.W. Kelley Jr., and his wife, Sandra, of Kingston, Frankie Kelley, of Healdton, and Terry Kelley, and his wife, Donna, of Dougherty; a brother, Carrol Barker and his wife, Barbara, of Arapaho; a sister, Oveda Touchstone of Clinton; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
Burial was scheduled at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood.
