James Ned Massey , 73, of Maple Street, Allentown, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, in Mercy Hospital, Scranton.
He was a mechanic at the former Rankin Pontiac in Easton.
Born June 17, 1927, in Waynesville, N.C., he was a son of the late William W. and Ella Mae Turpin Massey.
He served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War.
He was a member of the AARP and the American Legion.
He is survived by four sons, James of Clyde, N.C., Michael of Phillipsburg, William W. of Kearney, N.J., and Steven of Branchburg, N.J.; six daughters, Rita Marini of Flanders, N.J., Linda Zimmerman and Margaret, both of Phillipsburg, Jo-Anne McDevitt of Orefield, Pa., Jody-Lynn Ketchledge of Nazareth and Joni- James of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; a sister, Mary B. Gosnell of Waynesville; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services and burial will be in North Carolina. Call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St., Phillipsburg.
