Mrs. Juanita Massey Rivers 77, died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at her home in Charlotte. Born December 21, 1921 in Waynesville, NC, Mrs. Rivers was a daughter of the late Zack L. Massey and Ella Beard Massey and was formerly associated with Mary Ryder Realty. Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn R. Yandle of Matthews and a granddaughter, Ashley A. Yandle of Mt. Pleasant, SC. She is also survived by two half-brothers, Dr. Milton Massey of Brevard and J. Dale Massey of Arden; and her stepmother, Clara Massey of Waynesville. A service of worship in Mrs. Rivers ' memory will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 19, in the Hankins & Whittington Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Gary L. Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are in the care of Hankins & Whittington Dilworth Chapel.
