Eva Swanger Clark, age 90, of Camp Branch Road in the Fines Creek Community, died Friday, March 4, 2005 at her residence.
She was a native of Haywood County and was the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Beatrice Kirkpatrick Swanger. She was the widow of the late Zeb Clark who died in 1993 and was also preceded in death by two sons, Homer Eugene Clark and David Joseph Clark, four brothers; Carson, Luke, Mark and S. T. Swanger, one sister, Ora Sutton. She was a member of the Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, William Vager Clark and his wife Barbara of Fines Creek, two brothers, Coleman Swanger of Waynesville and Varnell Swanger of Atlanta, GA and Fines Creek, 3 grandchildren, Martin Clark of Bloomington, IN, Zonya Harris and Scarlett Perry, both of Waynesville and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church. Reverend Jimmy Moore and Keith West will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday at Wells Funeral Homes of Waynesville and at other times will be at the residence.Serving as pallbearers will be Edwin Swanger, Mark Swanger, Mike Swanger, Clark Clayton, Keith Swanger and Austin Swanger.
