March 31, 1949 - July 13, 2016 Resided in Kodak, TN Donnie Howard Smith, Sr., age 67 of Kodak, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016. Mr. Smith retired from the United States Navy. He was a highly decorated combat veteran and served in Vietnam. He is preceded in death by his sister, Charolene Smith and his daughter, Crystal Monica Smith. Survivors include his mother, Reva Smith; mother of his children, Carmen M. Smith; his sons, James Howard Smith and Donnie Howard Smith, Jr.; grandson, Donnie Howard Smith, III. The family will receive friends 4-6 PM Wednesday with funeral service to follow at 6 PM at Kodak United Methodist Church, 2923 Bryan Road, Kodak, TN. Family and friends will meet at 10 AM Thursday at Pollard Cemetery on Pollard Road in Kodak for interment. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post # 104.
