ABBOTT , BETTY LOU age 77 of Knoxville , went home to be with the Lord on Sunday , July 14 , 2013 at her home . She was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Walter Abbott; parents, Josie and Tom Walker; sister, Anna; brother, Jerry. She is survived by two children, Eddie Abbott and Mary Lou Long; several grandchildren, Angela, Bryan, Lance, Charlie, and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Shane, Isaiah, and Zachary; three brothers; four sisters; caregivers, David and Donna Waler; and a host of friends. A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Rose Mortuary officiated by Reverend Clyde Abbott, Jr. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 p.m. Thursday at Abbott Hollow Cemetery in Wears Valley for a 1:00 p.m. interment service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the funeral service at the mortuary. Online condolences may be extended at www.rosemortuary.com. Arrangements by Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
