PARDUE, PAUL SEVIER - age 88, went home to be with God at noon, March 28, 2006. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in South Knoxville and The King's Men Sunday School Class. He was an avid outdoorsman who climbed Mt. LeConte at age 80. As a life member of TOS he instilled the love of birds to all who knew him. A 32nd Degree Mason, past deacon at Alcoa Way Baptist Church and a past member of the Friendship Force with many friends in many countries. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Thomas Garner Pardue and Mary Idana Walker; and his beloved wife of 64 years, Martha Louise Engert Pardue; and six sisters, Myrtle, Zula, Helen, Lena, Reba and Nelle. Paul is survived by: one sister, Ruth Gill of Powell; children, Pat and Dave Marshall, Bill and Kay Pardue, Tom and Joyce Pardue and Don Whitehead. The grandchildren are: Dan, Donna, Renee, Erin, Tom, Rebecca, John and Joe; and also 5 great grandchildren and untold nieces and nephews with a "special" nephew, Johnny Karnes. Dad would have been 89 on May 10, and we miss him so very much, but he is home now. We will be receiving friends at Mount Olive Baptist Church on Maryville Pike, April 9 at 1 p.m. with a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, dad has requested donations be made to: the American Heart Association and the Arthritis Foundation.
